Good morning 👋 Welcome back to another issue of The Nosy Neighbour.
Every week, we peek into the life of someone living in London—their routines, favourite spots, career, relationships and all the bits in between.
This week's neighbour is Harry Clough, a founder and presenter living in Battersea. We chatted about why comparison is the biggest trap in your twenties, the charity project he's proudest of, how running changed his life, and why the people around you will always matter more than money.
Enjoy!
👋 THIS WEEK'S NEIGHBOUR
Harry Clough

Harry spends his days talking to people. As a presenter and content creator, he's interviewed everyone from strangers on the street to business owners building ambitious businesses. Alongside that, he's the founder of Harry Can't Sit Still, an ADHD-focused matcha brand helping people improve their focus naturally.
What stood out most wasn't the businesses or the content.
It was how often Harry came back to the same ideas: stop comparing yourself to everyone else, put consistent effort into the things that matter, and never underestimate the people who stick by you.
Whether he's interviewing someone he's just met, training for an ultramarathon or building his next business, Harry believes the best things in life come from showing up consistently — and surrounding yourself with people you love.

🌱 GROWING UP
What's something you believed at 21 that you've completely changed your mind about?
I used to think money brought happiness. Now I think the most important thing in life is love — whether that's your family, your friends or the people you choose to spend your time with.
Money can improve a situation, but feeling loved and loving other people will always win.
What's something about adulthood that nobody warned you about?
It's so bloody hard. But it's also full of things to love.
I think people spend too much time believing everyone else's life is better than their own. Most of the time, it isn't. The reality is that nothing worthwhile comes quickly. Careers, passions and relationships all take time, patience and consistency.
If your 18-year-old self met you today, what would surprise them most?
Probably that I'm still going... and that I actually enjoy running.
I was a very lost 18-year-old. To be honest, I'm probably still a slightly lost 28-year-old. The difference is that I know myself much better now. I know what I want, what I don't want and, although I'm not quite where I want to be, I'm a lot happier.
What's something everyone in their 20s worries about too much?
Comparing themselves to everyone else.
You open Instagram and everyone's getting engaged, buying houses or travelling the world. Then you open LinkedIn and someone five years older than you has built a seven-figure business.
It's easy to feel behind. The truth is there's no timeline. Focus on yourself, the people you love and what genuinely makes you happy—not what everyone else appears to have.

❤️ RELATIONSHIPS
What's the best first date you've ever been on?
It has to be with my ex-girlfriend. We went to the pub, played a game of pool and kept things really simple.
I remember thinking, "I really hope she sticks around." That feeling was pretty special.
What's one piece of dating advice you've actually found to be true?
If you're desperate for a relationship, it rarely happens.
You could meet the love of your life in the next 20 minutes, so don't force it. Get out there, meet people and let life happen.
What's something you wish people talked about more when it comes to relationships?
How hard breakups really are. They're the shittest thing in the world.
What's something you make a conscious effort to do for the people you care about?
Tell them I love them.
You never know when the last time you'll see someone might be, so I think it's important to say it while you can.
What's something you've learnt about friendships in your 20s?
They matter more than you realise.
My friends have been my lifeline through some of the hardest parts of my life, and I just hope I've been able to be there for them too.

Harry’s spending last month
💼 WORK
What's a project you're most proud of, and why?
Probably Harry's Candles. I started making candles to raise money for charity, getting up at 4am to make 20-30 a day before going door-to-door selling them.
It was pure hustle, but we ended up raising thousands of pounds for some amazing charities.
What's something about your job that people always get wrong?
People see my content online and assume I've got it all figured out. I really haven't.
I'm still learning, still building and still a long way from where I want to be—especially financially.
What's one skill that's become far more valuable than you expected?
Consistency. Whether it's your job, a business, a hobby or a relationship, the results only come when you keep showing up.
Whenever I put consistent effort into something, it grows. When I don't, it flops.
What's the best career investment you've ever made?
Buying a DJI Pocket 3.
It's what I use to film most of my content and interviews, and it's probably made me more money than anything else I've ever bought (apart from maybe my laptop!).
What's one thing you're excited to work on next?
I've got a new project in the works that I can't talk about just yet...
But I'm going to throw everything at it. I'm not scared of it failing. If it doesn't work, I'll learn loads. If it does...

🏃♂️ FITNESS
What's one health habit that's genuinely changed your life?
Running. It helped me mentally more than anything else. It also taught me consistency, discipline and that the best things in life take time.
You don't get results overnight — you just have to keep showing up.
What's one thing you've become much more consistent with over the last few years?
Making exercise a non-negotiable.
It's become part of my routine and one of the biggest reasons I feel mentally and physically in a good place.
I've still got a long way to go, but I'm much more disciplined than I used to be.
What's your favourite way to move your body?
Running, without a doubt.
I also love a 1Rebel class, an ultramarathon and a game of rugby—although these days I'm a little more conscious of looking after my head!
What's something you do when you're feeling burnt out?
Exercise. A lot of it.
It's always been the quickest way to clear my head, slow my mind down and reset.
